There is a big difference in people who live from their imagination, and those who don't use it at all. But what's most important is understanding the difference so you can effectively use your imagination to improve your life.
Remember when you were a kid and anything was possible. Playing with a toy jet somehow seemed so real and incredible. When you watch a child play in a sandbox for instance, you'll notice he attention is fully focused on whatever he is doing. As he makes sound effects and crashes things together, you question the realism of his experience. Now let me ask you this; Do you think he is living from his imagination, or using it? I'd say he's living from and IN it. It's his natural state of being to live from his imagination. Think about it. Due to their age, children have very few experiences to base his perception of reality on. Therefore their reality is anything they create. Their creation isn't subject to habit, beliefs, dogma, fear, doubt, or inhibition. It is entirely their own unique making.
The child is free from habitual ways of thinking or behaving (not completely, because he still needs certain habits to function). And if the child is undisturbed and left alone, he can thrive in his natural state - imagination land. So it seems that living in the realm of the imagination is our natural state of being from birth. Nature decided this was the way it should be, because it allows children to be creative, explore, and learn in a way free from limitations or beliefs. So if this is our natural state of being, then why have most adults drifted far from living in the imagination, to living from beliefs and habits?
We've been conditioned to suppress this natural state
Throughout various stages of "growing up" we've been gradually led away from this state of freedom and exploration into a world of strict rules, beliefs, & judegements. We've been told from school teachers, parents, friends, friends of parents, relatives, and others that we must go to school, learn certain subjects, then go to college, and get a job. Everyone seems to be completely sure that this is how things should be. It may be the way things are for most people, but some do not live by these rules(including myself).
Living from the imagination takes courage
If they were to try this, it would mean giving up past experiences for a future of their own making. This frightens many people. If they chose this route, they'd give up their certainty that's held together by their beliefs, thus awaking them from the dream of life. They'd realize that life is an illusion in the brain constructed by beliefs and mental images of what they expect and imagine is possible. I can't understand how that frightens people. Being unconscious of the nature of life being a dream of your own making is much more frightening to me than taking conscious control of my destiny. Quite frankly, that thought gets me incredibly excited. How awesome is it that we're living in a dream world? Knowledge that one is the creator of their reality is empowering.
Your Imagination Is Your Creative Force
There's no beliefs, habits, preconceived notions, rules, regulations, or limitations to the imagination. It is the canvas on which we can paint a new future. It's like a mound of clay, waiting to be shaped into any form. Be able to let the imagination run free is truly the key to unlock the secret behind the law of attraction. However, it's difficult to discern what the imagination actually is. It's like controlled choas at your disposal; access to the multidimensional, unlimited power of the universe. You can start with any idea. Imagine it from all angles. Create connections to that idea and construct it into a masterpeice. This is the true nature of reality. And the most amazing thing is there's nothing stopping anyone from using this power....well, except for themself.
Set Yourself Free
This is the reason you need to live from your imagination. I'm sure most of you have seen the movie "The Matrix." In one scene, Morpheus explains to Neo that the matrix has rules, but those rules can be broken. In a later scene towards the end of the movie, Neo come to the full realization that the problem is a choice between; fear or love; knowing the truth or living in ignorance; being the creator of your reality, or the victim. I bring up this from The Matrix becomes the movie parralells many things in life. Most people ARE afraid of making that choice. Because when you live from the imagination, you are set free. Setbacks, limitations, fear, doubt, or anything else cannot stop you once you actively use your imagination to navigate through life. This is the freedom so many people are seeking, but they don't realize that it's inside them. They have possessed this gift since their conception.
The answers have always been right in front of your eyes
Every great person has told us to think big and big things will happen. People have hinted us at the power of our own imagination. I'm sure most can recognize who said this following quote: "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create" - Albert Einstein. This man was a genius, not because of what he knew, but because of what he knew he didn't know and was willing to discover. It's evident that genius isn't limited to only certain individuals, but is instead inherently present in all of us.
Start living from the imagination today and you'll soon realize your experience is your own creation. It's easy and fun to be the creator. Whenever you encounter any difficulty, immediately block out all distractions and JUMP into your imagination. Bounce ideas around and don't be afraid to let your mind run wild on solutions. With time and practice, you'll naturally use your imagination to find solutions and improve your life. Your creativity will increase and so will your confidence in yourself. We're all given gifts, but if we don't use them they'll go to waste. Dont be afraid, let yourself free, and live from your imagination.
